Research residency

March 5 to April 15, 2018

Eveline Boulva |

March 5 to April 15, 2018

LA CHAMBRE BLANCHE is pleased to welcome Eveline Boulva for a research residency from March 5 to April 15, 2018. During this residency, she wishes to continue her research on the cross-influences of the geographic thinking in current artistic practices, the landscape concept and the perception of nature in an anthropocenic context.

The residency will be an opportunity to start a written work that will accompany a future artistic project. More specifically, she intends to question and refine certain aspects that link the notions of “empaysage” and anthropocene art. For Eveline Boulva, the term “empaysage” is indispensable because it expresses just as much the need to experience the territory and the landscape as the experience of representing the landscape in the field of arts. Thus, she develops a working methodology consisting of collecting information in the field before becoming documents available for creation.

The investigation carried out in LA CHAMBRE BLANCHE will allow her to highlight the interrelations existing between the anthropocene theory, the methodology induced by the notion of “empaysage” and current artistic practices.
