This year, LA CHAMBRE BLANCHE is proud to give the l@ch@mbrebl@nche prize to Marc-Antoine Cloutier. The artist will be in residency from October 15 to November 25, 2018 in our laboratories.
For this production residency, Marc-Antoine Cloutier wishes to elaborate his research around the different rock formations produced by the rivers of Quebec. Using the numerical control machines available in our laboratories, the artist will be able to explore the sculptural representation of these phenomenons. Thus, he will dwell on the forms, the lines and the compositions of these numerous geological phenomenons. By playing with scale and materials, he hopes to find seductive ways to reproduce unusual silhouettes of these stones carved by water currents and time.
Each year, the center awards the l@ch@mbrebl@nche prize to a graduate of the Bachelor degree in Visual and Media Arts from École d’art of Université Laval as part of the exhibition of graduating students.
