Julie Faubert |

May 1 to May 31, 2021
Presentation on May 4 2021 at noon

As part of this residency, Julie Faubert began the first part of her residency from May 1 to 31, 2021 in rural Quebec to follow the animal sound events in the spring. Faubert takes advantage of this research time to familiarize himself with ambisonia (recording and broadcasting). She makes nocturnal recordings, taking advantage of long moments without a car, without engines. The artist is working on the design of a sound installation composed entirely of sounds belonging to the animal night, taming the fear and the strangeness of these precious moments. At the same time as this quest for sound, she captures images at night, at random, without being sure, however, that they find their meaning in the final installation which is intended, first and foremost, to be sound.
