Shape-shifted (Parasitic Ecology of a Becoming-virtual)

On the occasion of the first metavers residency at ʟᴀ ᴄʜᴀᴍʙʀᴇ ʙʟᴀɴᴄʜᴇ, Marie-Eve Levasseur presents the results of her investigations on the world of insects. The artist developed a series of augmented reality filters offering new  symbiotic possibilities and inclusive science-fiction narratives, towards constant becomings.

In her practice, Marie-Eve Levasseur explores the possibilities between the real and the factitious. By speculating on the potential of mixing the human body with another device, she intends to provoke a certain empathy, a solidarity towards the non-human, the abstract or the non-human.
