The artist Lenka Novakova is interested in light as a medium of perception as well as the medium of representation. The focus of her research is to investigate and further explore qualities of space, architectural environmnents and installation through means of light. Like she says, "light transforms and deconstructs space by marking, occupying, illuminating and dramatically staging it". With Fragments of Light: I have been looking for you..., Novakova explores camera & eye relationship through means of interactive video installation. Her intention is to produce film/video as well as still images, which, through an optical illusion, will enable us to see our everyday surroundings through "different lens".
