With « Plagiairc - Parler avec les mots des autres », Nicolas Boillot suggests to use public textual communications flow as raw material to feed a private communication. Joining the line of previous works where the imposition of constraints generates a new form of textual composition, the « Plagiairc » interface will not allow the speaker to express himself through a classic keyboard. Indeed, to emit sentences, he will have to use the words of others and specific semantics of the users of the Internet Relay Chat (I.R.C), a real-time Internet text messaging mainly designed for group communication. This Web art project will set up an interface where, by selecting one by one these public words, the speaker will compose a kind of « cadavre exquis ». The notion of the author being dissolved, a reflection about the ways of communication through the Internet, as well as on the ways of consumption and appropriation of the contents of others will begin through this project.
