Elsewhere invites adrift, in the breakaway, in a visual and sound elsewhere always in movement. Through thousands of short video sequences, the Internet user dives in a kind of moving notebook. Architectures, people, moments, places, memories of moments, gestures and objects, join randomly to constitute a permanent mental, spatial and temporal editing. Without a beginning or an end, Elsewhere is a huge expanding visual database made of memories and evocations incessantly recombined, as an attempt of memorization and description of the crossed space. At every connection to the Elsewhere’s project site, the spectator is transported in an infinite virtually drift, always renewed, in the middle of moving faraway. The Elsewhere serie begun in 2003 in Japan and developed in 2007 in Shanghai, then in Los Angeles in 2009 and will continue this year in Quebec.
