Research residency

LA CHAMBRE BLANCHE welcomes artist Guillaume Adjutor Provost for a research residency from March 14 to April 24.

His research project at LA CHAMBRE BLANCHE entitled : L’indécidé et les pratiques expositionnelles addresses among other things, the creating processes that are borne from the meeting of curating practices and visual arts. Following in his doctorate, footsteps, he focuses on artists that find inspiration from curating strategies in order to produce works of creation.

This residency will afford him time and resources to further his research while providing a local frame to study the practices that are used in the exhibitions.

According to him, the blur that hovers on the general definition of roles of the artists as well as oh the curator is conductive to the apparition of new hybrid practices. Guillaume Adjutor Provost identifies avenues of reflection about the manifestations of such transdisciplinarity. He questions among others, the role played by an adapted terminology that would allow to review the actual art practices’ classification, or at least, their analysis. The goal of the research residency is to contribute to the knowledge of a curatorial art form.
