l@ch@mbrebl@nche prize

dfOf chambre blanche welcomes Alexandre Bérubé for a production residency from October 3 to November 14, 2016. Thanks to his work as a bachelor’s degree graduate in Visual and Media arts at the Université Laval, he has won the l@ch@mbrebl@nche 2016 award. He will also get technical support during his residency.

Bérubé explores the sense of belonging and attachment that we feel towards the spaces and objects that surround us.  More specifically he researches the ‘’working table’’ as an interface that allows us to reflect on the symbolism of everyday objects as well as our relationship to them.

In real terms his residency will produce tools to be used in his performances. These tools can be compared to DJs and Vjs’ devices. Alexandre Bérubé will realize video and audio installations using the many items he will collect throughout his researches. He also intends to use LA CHAMBRE BLANCHE’s computer assisted machines (laser and vinyl cutter, CNC) to produce the items to be used in his installations.
