LA CHAMBRE BLANCHE is happy to invite Guillaume Adjutor Provost for a Lab Web residency within the framework of the France-Quebec exchange program, Géographies Variables, from April 18th to June 2nd 2013. Adisciplinary artist, researcher and curator, Guillaume Adjutor Provost roams between visual arts, design and litterature in order to investigate the begettening of new possible shapes that question as much autonomous objects and its multiple representation forms; as the spatial and institutional context within which they come into being. Between investigation and storytelling, the non linear narrative threads generated by the hybrid character of the objects are the prints of fluidity of passage from one state to another – a process that nourrishes as well the statement of the artist. Within the framework of his web residency at LA CHAMBRE BLANCHE, Guillaume Adjutor Provost will work on manufacturing tools for video production – modified web cameras, crystal stone lenses, micro-movement amplification software, etc. The desired result is the creation of a video work that explores the extreme close-up to the objects and the microscopic movements of the prepared camera within the context of a proximity performance.
