Within it’s Web residency program, LA CHAMBRE BLANCHE welcomes with great enthusiasm, the artist Blanche Sanou hailing from Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso. Equipped with her experience of all aspect of audio-visual production, she agreed to LA CHAMBRE BLANCHE’s invitation with a dialogue on her mind: “Our vision of things is strongly influenced by the medias who shows us an Africa that stands light years away from America.” Blanche Sanou wishes to transform this perception by proposing a conversation between a woman from Ouagadougou and a man from Quebec City. During the residency the two protagonists will host around 10 capsules scripted during the residency. Each of these capsules will tell a story. These are simple stories from the day to day of people who have more in common that we may first think. To offer a research work on the reality of two cities and their denizens, Blanche Sanou arrived in Quebec carrying images of her city in her luggage’s. She will add images captured here. With this intercontinental conversation Blanche Sanou candidly confesses that she wishes to change the deleterious perception that young Africans may have of their country.
