In order to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the project Rencontres culturelles, Accès Culture invites Quebec City’s cultural scene. For the occasion, multiple events will unfold between October 3rd and December 9th 2013, of which eight exhibitions in contemporary art displaying eight artist-run centres from Quebec City. LA CHAMBRE BLANCHE chose to invite two young artists – Pierre-Luc Lapointe and Nataliya Petkova – to produce an exhibition within the framework of this event. The exhibition will take place at the Maison de la culture d’Ahuntsic-Cartierville from November 1st to December 7th 2013. Pierre-Luc Lapointe and Nataliya Petkova’s interdisciplinary research extend by incorporating video, open-source software, sound, installation, Web, writings, etc. The works of both artists converge in their exploratory approach on perceptive phenomena, while being distinguished by their singular modus operandi questionning the cognitif systems. An event of big caliber, Les Recontres culturelles honor Quebec City’s artistic creativity and experimentation, while underlining the priceless contribution of the artists from the Capital. This is a project presented and funded within the framework of Entente sur le développement culturel de Montréal by the ministry of Culture and Communications, and the City of Montreal.
