LA CHAMBRE BLANCHE welcomes artist François Quévillon for a residency from March 13 to May 5, 2017. The public is invited to a presentation on March 30 at 5pm.

François Quévillon will pursue his research that brings together geomatics, artificial perception and machine learning for the interpretation of unexpected situations and incalculable phenomena. His work focuses on the interactions between environmental, sociocultural and technological issues; on the way they influence or redefine human cognition, our environment, as well as our relationships to space, to time and to one another. During his residency, he will meet people and gather literature related to his research while working on the development of SAAVSNAV, a system that uses data from an array of mobile sensors that circulates through locations affected by various environmental conditions.

LA CHAMBRE BLANCHE est heureuse d’accueillir l’artiste François Quévillon pour une résidence de production qui se déroulera du 13 mars au 5 mai 2017. Le public est convié à une présentation du travail le 30 mars en formule 5@7.

Dans le cadre de sa résidence, l’artiste poursuivra ses recherches qui associent la géomatique, la perception artificielle et l’apprentissage automatique pour l’interprétation de situations inattendues et de phénomènes incalculables. Son travail s’intéresse aux interactions de problématiques environnementales, socioculturelles et technologiques; aux manières dont elles affectent ou redéfinissent notre environnement, ainsi que nos relations à l’espace, au temps et aux autres. Il travaillera notamment au développement de SAVSAVNA, un dispositif alimenté par un réseau de capteurs mobile circulant dans des lieux affectés par diverses conditions environnementales.
